For short bridge superstructures up to 200 m long, the VGK Cantilevered Parapet Bracket is a safe, rational and efficient solution in new construction and refurbishment projects.

The lightweight, hand-mounted system components facilitate easy operation and efficient working. The system construction with separate platform and formwork units features a gap-free deck ensuring the best possible protection for the ongoing flow of traffic and people below. The VGK is anchored to the underside of the bridge, therefore not disturbing work operations on the upper side of the superstructure at any time.

  • After the initial assembly of the PERI VGK Cantilevered Parapet Bracket, access by means of an elevating work platform or scaffolding is not necessary.

  • The Refurbishment Anchor consists of two parts of which only the Internal Threaded Sleeve is lost; the anchor bolt can be unscrewed and removed after use and can be re-used many times over. This facilitates dismantling work and saves costs.
    Efficient working even on complex structures

    A simple kit of parts, lightweight and easily assembled, complement the separate formwork unit. 

    The Refurbishment Anchor consists of two parts of which only the Internal Threaded Sleeve is lost; the anchor bolt can be unscrewed and removed after use and can be re-used many times over, speeding up the dismantling work and saving costs.

  • The refurbishment anchor can immediately bear the dead weight of the VGK Cantilevered Parapet Bracket. This leads to fast erection and reduces blocking time. The bracket is fully load-bearing once the composite mortar has hardened.
